sweet
Since I finally realized how weird it is to write the “official version” of an event for work and a “behind-the-scenes” version for my blog, I’ll keep my post about last night’s NU Rock Awards short and sweet.
In fact, the highlight for me can be summed up in one picture:

my childhood crush, the ultimate bestfriend-turned-boyfriend
And I shall now proceed to disappear from the face of the planet.

In an attempt to document what happened to our community because of “Ondoy”– and yeah, for work purposes, though I try to distance this blog from work–I put on my dad’s boots and went out of the house today. Among what I saw:

- my mother insisted on taking a picture of me before i took off. she should be the journalist in the family, really.
We’re going to try to relocate to my aunt’s place in Makati tomorrow morning, as long as there’ll be decent transportation. I don’t mind riding in a pedicab or a makeshift raft to get to a dry commercial area, but my mom is hypertensive, plus we’ll be bringing lots of clothes (for ourselves, and for donation purposes).
I’m looking forward to finally being able to help out. This disaster struck me in ways I never imagined. I still have one good friend in Cainta who’s unaccounted for, one who’s still stuck on the roof of her house, and countless more who lost everything.

The FX driver was fuming.
“Sarap bugbugin ni Hatton! Pumusta-pusta pa naman ako sa hinayupak na yun,” he practically shouted to his captive audience (us poor passengers).
“Puta, second round natulog na agad,” he continued. “Sana ipinang-sabong ko na lang, tangina.”
I had the asshole smile on my face as I muttered under my breath, “buti nga.” Serves you right for betting on the Brit, I thought. I had just seen the live telecast of the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton fight, and I was still reeling from the excitement of watching a big game with a bunch of real boxing fans, mostly male and middle-aged, some of them flushed after downing a few bottles of beer to psych themselves up for the match.
I’m no boxing aficionado, so I’m not even going to try and rave about how great Pacquiao’s left hook was. But I’ll give you this: I am so going to watch the next Pacquiao fight
who’s your daddy?
Damn I wish I was two years old.
According to reports, Brad and Angelina may adopt a new baby–from the Philippines!
The duo, who both personify hotness, reportedly flew here last week to look around for the latest addition to their multi-racial family. A spokesperson for the couple, however, reportedly refused to comment.

wordcamp philippines 2008
This started as a secret blog sometime in July this year, meant only for the eyes of a few selected friends. Not that there’s anything particularly scandalous here or anything (some things are not meant to be put in writing hahaha); it’s just that I’m not too keen on having total strangers be aware of some of my adventures.
Anyway, Kirk told me there’s this WordPress Camp that may be fun to attend. At first I was like, “no, I want to blog in peace,” but after a few minutes I decided to give it a go. Why not? I’m always up for meeting new people, especially those I have something in common with.
The camp’s on Sept. 6 at the College of Saint Benilde in Taft. I’ll be marking my guide to life, my phone calendar. Mark yours too.
